Judy Perly opened Free Times Cafe 45 years ago, and it has grown into a Toronto cultural and food institution: a fully licensed restaurant and bar with original music, comedy, magic and much more every night.
Everything is made in house, from Toronto's best all-day breakfast to latkes, blintzes, roast brisket of beef and desserts, with vegan and vegetarian options and microbrewery pint and drink specials daily.
Three rooms, three different feels: Bella's Bistro for dining in an intimate retro setting, the Bar for drinks and good times, and the Club Room for live entertainment and group events.
Private rooms for up to 50 guests, or the entire restaurant for 110. For events, catering and private parties or buffets, email owner Judy Perly with the details.

An authentic Jewish dairy and fish buffet: smoked salmon, potato latkes, blintzes, challah French toast, bagels and more. Seatings at 11 am and 1 pm; call to reserve.
In-person sign-up at 7 pm and the show starts at 7:30 pm, with rotating hosts each week and $7.50 pint specials.
Happy hour on the patio, in the Bistro and at the bar.
Judy has created the best place to visit for brunch and live music. Incredible food, service and environment. The musician couple were amazing. We had a great time! Thank you, Judy! See you soon!
I've come by for comedy shows a couple times and had a great time. the atmosphere is so cozy, prices are good and i always end up getting a few apps with drinks. Hopefully one day ill come for their brunch as well
We went to an event the poetry Ontario society in Free Times Cafe, we enjoyed classic vibes and beautiful decorations with great food and nice staff , I shared my experience here, we were a big group of poets with so much fun. Thanks!
